Great Project Idea!

A consultant in Arizona, Bobby Jo Kelly, came up with this great idea using a template. It made a beautiful decoration for her living room!

Directions:
I used the 12 x 12 scrapbook pages template created by Joanne Duncan. I changed the letters from Dream to my last name. Then I went to Home Depot and picked up a 2' x 4' piece of thin wood, had them cut it into 12" x 12" pieces. Grabbed some Miniwax Satin Poly sealant, sandpaper, a foam brush, metal grommets, two glue sticks and ribbon from Joanne's craft store.

Before gluing the pages: Sand down the corners and pre-drill the holes for the grommets. *Just make sure you do NOT pre-drill holes on your last letter! I was a drilling fool and didn't even noticed I did it until it was too late. So, I just fixed the problem by adding ribbon.* Apply glue stick to the back of the scrapbook page & wood and press them together and let dry. Then, with the foam brush, seal the top of the pages with the sealant. Let dry and then apply a second coat. Afer they are dry, use a rubber mallet and hammer the grommets into the holes. (this makes it really decorative!) You will not need the backing of the grommets. Then, tread the ribbon into the holes and tie into knots. The top letter will be tied into a bow. Voila!
