What do I do with all of these digital photos?

Everyone today has a digital camera. I can't remember the last time I actually printed my photos out and put them in an album. I have all my photos nicely categorized by month on my hard drive. And, ofcourse, I do not delete any photos for fear that I may want to use the one where our eyes are half open. So now what??

When my son asks to see pictures of his aunt or uncle I have to turn on the computer and remember what month we saw them. He points at the screen, grabs the mouse out of my hand and starts randomly clicking and banging on the keyboard. It has become a game and he has forgotten all about the photos. Not exactly the touching experience I was hoping for.

What about years down the road? What will happen to those photos I have meticulously filed on my hard drive? Will they still be there when I want them?

This was my life before discovering there is a tool to help me solve all of these issues.

#1 - Photo Archiving
Now I back up all of my photos by uploading them to Heritage Makers where they are stored at full resolution and I can download them or share them with friends and family any time. This also forces me to go through the countless photos that I should have deleted and do just that.

#2 - Creating a Storybook
There are over 5,000 templates to choose from, so I choose the template that fits the book I want to make and start dragging and dropping my photos right into it. If I want to include text I can. If I don't have a lot of text I can just use the Quotes library or leave it out altogether. 30 minutes a night and I'm done in less than a week. I hit 'Publish' and my book arrives in 4 - 5 days. The best part? It stays out for the family to enjoy anytime! With the heirloom guarantee I never worry that something might happen to it. I can re-print it anytime.

I love the digital age!
